Getting Value from Networking Conversations

Have you ever been at a networking event and you’ve found yourself talking with someone but there is simply no lead potential or someone who you already know.

Sure, you might be having a great chat about football finals or movies, but you are there to network and potentially closing yourself off from other opportunities.

 

 

How do you remove yourself from that one conversation to enable yourself to work the room without seeming cold or rude?

The best way is to walk and talk. Take that person with you to meet new people. ‘Should we introduce ourselves to this group of people?’ is a great way to not only continue to network but also support the other person in their networking opportunities by expanding your groups of people.
